Morning - Coffee
There’s one in every house, every dwelling: the place where fire and creativity are at home, where plans are devised, tasteful meals and sweet temptations prepared, where the air is filled with wonderful aromas and where we fortify ourselves for life: the kitchen.
Coffee, Coffee, muss ich haben!
It’s often said that people are either early birds or night owls. We might also split people into coffee drinkers and tea drinkers. And some people, of course, are both. We ask the tea aficionados to forgive us: as we have already paid homage to coffee through our music, and the smell of freshly ground beans hangs metaphorically in the air, let’s brew ourselves a nice little cup of coffee with a slight hint of the east.
The choreography for coffee drinkers is almost the same as every other morning, with just a few mysterious spices added. Many sources, including medical ones, testify to their soothing, mood-brightening qualities. It’s important to use high-quality coffee beans and good organic spices. As is always the case:
freshly ground ingredients smell twice as strong and produce the most wonderful aroma.
Ingredients
METHOD
Grind coffee beans finely, pour water into the bottom part of the espresso maker, insert the funnel and fill half way with the freshly ground coffee. Open the cardamom pods and crush the seeds in the mortar. Sprinkle a knife tip of cardamom and a knife tip of cinnamon over the freshly ground coffee. Then fill the rest of the funnel with coffee, screw the top part on and heat it on the stove. Serve with hot, frothy milk and sugar to taste, or drink as a classic espresso. Good morning!
